Leaning Cypress Removal and a Dead Cherry Monolith

Normally, when a potential customer tells me they are worried about a leaning tree, I try to reassure them that as long as the tree in question has always grown crooked then it’s probably going to be ok as long as it’s in good health.

I was a bit shocked to find out that this leaning conifer wasn’t in fact leaning the year before! Given its proximity to the summer house and fences the decision was made to safely dismantle it before it could topple.

Whilst there we also took down the small dead conifer next to it and reduced the dead cherry to a 10ft stump so it can “live on” as a scaffold for climbing plants. The conifer stumps were then ground out to reclaim the area for future planting.

Three trees is a lot to lose for some gardens but it was, and always is, a pleasure to work in a garden full of myriad other trees, shrubs and flowers.
