Old Stump Removal

By the looks of it this old stump had been taking up space in this car park border for quite a while. It even wore the battle scars from an attempted removal before - I can only assume they either ran out of chainsaw fuel or maybe something blunted their saw leading to the abandoned cut half way through the trunk.

Heeding the implied warning, care was taken to clean all debris from around the trunk prior to cutting it flush with the ground in a (successful) attempt to not blunt my saw. The large log was then split into firewood and left for the users of the church.

Photos of the actual grinding have apparently been lost to time but safe to say all went well and the ground was levelled out afterwards to eliminate trip hazards.
